World effort to cut infant mortality nearly cuts deaths by half; strong show in Africa

The World nearly hit the target of cutting the death of children by half from the 1990 by recording 5.9 million deaths of children under age of five by 2015, from 12.7 million, UN Children Fund (UNICEF) said in a new report released Wednesday.
