COP 15: L’implication de la jeunesse jugée nécessaire pour la sécurité alimentaire

Dr Abdoulaye Mohamadou, le secrétaire exécutif du Comité permanent Inter-états de lutte contre la sécheresse au Sahel (CILSS)

Le secrétaire exécutif du Comité permanent Inter-états de lutte contre la sécheresse au Sahel (CILSS), Dr Abdoulaye Mohamadou a sollicité, au cours d’un point de presse qu’il a animé le mercredi 11 mai 2022 à Abidjan, dans le cadre de la COP 15, l’implication de la jeunesse de tous les continents, dans la gestion durable de la terre afin de résoudre la question de la Sécurité alimentaire.

Relevant que 40 millions de personnes dans le monde sont menacées par la famine.Dr Abdoulaye Mohamadou a exhorté la quasi totalité des jeunes des différents continents, vivant dans le monde rural, à prendre une large part dans la gestion durable de la terre. Toute démarche qui permettra, selon le secrétaire exécutif du CILSS à lutter efficacement contre le changement climatique et œuvrer à la restauration des terres.

L’implication de la jeunesse, poursuit Dr Abdoulaye Mohamadou, permettra,par ailleurs, d’améliorer l’employabilité des jeunes, de favoriser la création d’emplois verts et décents pour l’autonomisation des jeunes, ainsi que de créer des richesses dans les chaînes de valeurs agricoles.
