A coalition of African civil society organisations under the aegis of the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) today in Kampala, Uganda began consultations on the outcome of the Marrakech Climate Conference as it affects Africa.
The region-wide consultative workshop, which assembles major African stakeholders ranging from government leaders, African parliamentarians, development partners, private sector and civil society leaders, seeks to interrogate the COP22 outcomes, implementation of the respective Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs)submitted by African state, and the emerging geo-political obstacles and challenges as well as their interface with the agenda of the Bonn Climate Change Conference.
