Le pape François demande “que la Conférence de Paris sur le changement climatique aboutisse à des accords fondamentaux et efficaces” lors de son premier discours devant les Nations unies.

Il faut «que la conférence de Paris sur le changement climatique aboutisse à des accords fondamentaux et efficaces», a martelé le pape, qui a insisté sur ses priorités pour la sauvegarde de la «maison commune», qu’il avait exposées dans son encyclique Laudato si’ (Loué sois-tu).

Le pape, dans son discours, affirme aussi qu’il “existe un vrai ‘droit de l’environnement'”, parce que les êtres humains en font partie et que toute créature vivante a “une valeur en soi, d’existence, de vie, de beauté et d’interdépendance avec les autres créatures”.

Il a souhaité le «succès» de l’Agenda 2030 pour le développement durable à l’occasion du sommet à l’ONU qui commence ce vendredi.
