Sierra Léone: Golden Saint découvre un diamant 9,65 carats et un très clair de 0,775 carat

Golden Saint Resources Ltd a annoncé, le 28 mai, la découverte en série des diamants au cours de l’échantillonnage en vrac qui se poursuit dans sa licence d’exploration Tongo en Sierra Léone, après celle d’un diamant blanc-clair de 9,475 carats révélée avril dernier.

Cette fois-ci, la compagnie cotée à Londres fait état de la découverte d’un diamant de 9,65 carats, d’un diamant très clair de 0,775 carat et, au cours des trois derrières semaines, de 135 carats de pierres de petite taille.

Il s’agit d’un résultat réalisé, s’est-elle réjoui, en de courtes activités avec le traitement de modestes tonnes de gravillons. Elle projette de traiter, dans la prochaine phase de l’échantillonnage, des gravillons extraits plus en profondeur. Ces résultats interviennent après que la diamantifère eut entrepris la modification de la facilité mobile de lavage du diamant, « Explorer 1 », afin de récupérer de plus importantes quantités d’or et de diamant.

Déjà en début du mois, elle a annoncé la découverte de l’or et du diamant dans la licence Tongo, soit six nouveaux diamants de taille variant entre 2,77 carats et 0,325 carat découverts et au total 12,8 grammes d’or récupéré dans cette licence.

Golden Saint Resources Ltd compte parmi ses actifs en Sierra Leone trois licences d’exploration : Tongo sur le diamant, Baja et Moa sur l’or et le diamant.
