Burkina Faso: un collectif d’associations annonce une marche contre Monsanto

Le 23 mai prochain verra l’organisation à Ouagadougou d’une marche de protestation contre la firme Monsanto, l’un des géants mondiaux du secteur des organismes génétiquement modifiés (OGM).

La manifestation, qui est une initiative du Collectif citoyen pour l’agro-écologie, une plateforme réunissant plusieurs associations, vise à «dénoncer le diktat de Monsanto et à exiger la souveraineté alimentaire du Burkina Faso » croit savoir l’APA.

La marche qui se déroulera dans le cadre de la journée mondiale de résistance aux OGM, sera suivi de projections de films documentaires sur Monsanto et les OGM ainsi que d’un marché de produits locaux ‘bio. Il faut souligner que si l’évènement revêt un caractère particulier, c’est parce que le Burkina Faso est l’une des rare nations africaines à avoir fait le choix des OGM, notamment du coton transgénique.

Une option qui contribue manifestement à maintenir le pays des hommes intègres dans sa position de leader régional de l’or blanc.
